Renter's and Condo Insurance

Even if you rent your home, a minor mishap could result in a loss of personal property or a lawsuit. When it comes to your personal possessions, renting a home is no different from owning one. You still to protect your personal property. You still face the cost of repairing or replacing these items in the event of a fire, wind, theft and other hazards.

The Condominium policy covers not only your personal belongings but also the building and additions that you make to your Condo. Make sure you read the by-laws of your association. Some require the owner to maintain insurance coverage on all interior structures.  These bare walls by-laws advise that everything inside the Condo is the responsibility of the owner, this includes kitchen cabinets, wallpaper, carpeting etc.
